It's all most a year since I posted anything in here and a lot has happened in that quite short time really. About May last year my dad was taken into hospital very poorly and we thought he wouldn't last the week but with great care at the hospital he rallied and after nearly 3 months he came home but had been told he was terminally ill.

There were lots for me to do as my dad was 86, had no will and needed to get his personal things in order sort funeral arraignments and such like. We reminisced about his childhood and his time during the Second World War, telling me stories about our family I had never heard before. Like the doctor telling him to dig a hole in the garden to burry my afterbirth in when I was born at home in 1965 or how he saved the life of a man known as Billy Hitler! Yes that's right Billy "Hitler" !! who fell in Birkenhead dock and was drowning tangled in a cargo net and my dad dived in and pulled Mr Hitler out.

Do not take what I give for a joke, For it has empowered me to shed my yoke. Shown me the vision of shimmering light, And granted me the gift of second sight.Shown me a focus unseen before, And slipped me the key to the golden door.
